The music world in general was awash with
rumour and speculation following reports
that the Guireans had actually recorded a
new album in Stornoway recently. However,
the rumour mill went into overdrive when it
was announced that members of the Dun
Ringles had guested on the album, bringing
together for the first time in decades a
cross sectional multi tasking generic
cross-platform merging of the two finest
AGOFR bands ever ever ever. Initial reports
from those who have heard the album have
been full of praise for the quality of
material and for the use of late 70's style
tape recording technology, so sadly missing
from todays more technical idiom.The
recording, also thought to be the Guireans
most litigious, brings the last decades
muscal trends, styles and fancies up to date
in a cohesive whole in that unique Guireans
ouvre, showing once again that the Guireans
have been ripped off by countless other
performers who have stolen their songs in
order to profit from this great
philanthropic collective.But their day will
come.

I think its cos the Dun Ringles and all
their many almost countless fans are so shy,
retiring and sensitive types who don't like
going out in sunshine incase they get any
colour in their cheeks. But never mind, once
the new albums ready all this will change.
Progress Update: 2 sets of lyrics almost
completed. One about Wind Farms, the other
about a Guireans recording session. Watch
this space. As they say in Bragar.
