The sighting of three of AGOFR's leading stars in
the Crown Public last Saturday has sent shock waves
reverberating through the spines of the organisers
of this years Hebridean Celtic Festival. A hastily
released press release from the Festival committee
stated that the Festival would indeed carry on
despite rumours that the long awaited Midges Of Rock
2003 was about to take place, resulting in the
failure and bankruptcy of the Festival as music fans
flocked to the Scout Hall instead.
The MOR rumours started to spread around 9.30pm on
Saturday night as Dead Ollac, from The Guireans and
Jason and Wattie from the Dun Ringles were seen in
the Crown in deep converation, accompanied by three
scantily clad (ie no bobban jumpers)
groupies.Speculation was rife that the three of them
were about to hold a Press Conference as Iain X was
earlier seen staggering along in front of the Heb
clutching a microphone or possibly a fish supper.
Before any announcements could be made the three
stars were whisked off by taxi accompanied by the
groupies to an undisclosed location (Grimersta,
Sandwick and Knock) leaving the music world on the
edges of their tractor seats.
