Hey, great to see this historical archive of old photo's now in the public domain. However, are you sure this really is STV and not the Drummond family from Marybank getting ready to go in town to sell clothes-pegs/dusters round the posh areas of town like Manor Park.

Did the ceards go as far as Sandwick on their travels? I remember being scared sh**less by Clemack when I were a lad.And we still havent wroted a song about her yet!!!

Yus but why no pictures of Roddy Mahen as "Man in Cake Shop" doing his famous "F*** off / Goah awai" routine?

I reckon it's time for a sequel. Seeing as Prof's in the States it could be done over there with things like a budget and ... No.

Kind of a side issue this but I have recently been in contact with Mr Mahen who is is now a respected Civil Servant in Edinburgh (who isn't?), watch out for him descending on this site as he knows it exists.

Roddy Mahen? You mean the thespian genius who played Man in Cake Shop Saying 'Geuw Aweuy' While Mouthing 'F*** Off', in Ken Livingstone's epic 'Les Mauvaises Jeunes', (1983)? Wow.  Because that man is widely considered in the theatrical profession to be the only good actor called Roddy whose surname began with M who ever came from Lewis.

It's a well known fact that there are no others.

We'd better hope he doesn't go to the Tapeography page for J*** Sc*b*e Is A H*m*s*x**l (1989) and download the MP3 for "I Don't Want A Bomber", eh?
