Last week, as I was busking on Buchanan St (as resting thespians are given to do) I was accosted by someone looking very like Morrissey but with a golden halo above his head. After some general chat he asked me if I would be interested in playing some trad-style tunes with him, and I agreed. He paused for a moment. "And it's not a Guireans session," he said, meaningfully. Whatever could he mean?

Bod in Sauchiehall Street indeed! Next thing you'll be Seeing Buddha in the Narrows and A*lah buying a half bottle in Cathy Dhall's.

I reckon it's about time you ate something - you're starting to hallucinate with all that starvation.

Either that or it's typical actor attention seeking behaviour - many a fading soap star goes to the Weekly News touting a paranormal anecdote ("I saw Ena Sharples' ghost in my dressing room") in order to  boost their flagging profile...

No, really. We've even hammered through some trad tunes, only occasionally discussing rewriting classic trad ballads with more tractor-driving, 4-Crown-drinking leanings. It even sounds quite good. Scary stuff. Baah.

Well, if you want to prove these ridiculous claims you'll need to come up with evidence.

How about, next time you experience one of these visions, you ask him to send in an entry for the sleeve design competition?

He's bound to win given the standard of the other entries (and his infinite powers) and he can have all the dodgy scratchcards for
trips to Paris etc as well.

dear readers

' finding Bod ' has long been a Leodsach tradition and i hope this marks the start of a Glasgow ' Revival ' paving the way for the establishment of a Glasgow based ' Church Of Bod ' where spectacle wearing on a sunday is compulsary and the Precenters all make chicken noises rather than thon dreary singing.
Morrisey has been worshipped for too long in Glasgow as a false idol.

i demand some horlicks

He's very pleased with his production on the most recent Guireans' opus, and particularly keen on Back for God and Are You Being Serviced.
