Aha, all actorrrs (well, Equity members) are able to avail themselves of a nice inconsistency in the tax/NI laws that allow them to be self employed but still claim benefit. Tony's no happy.

So why isn't the Actorrr appearing in the new flagship BBC Glesca Soap "River City People", designed as it is to employ the entire thespian population of Scotland?

Could this be one (more) reason to call Roddy a soapdodger?

Even T*ny K*rn*y of Ran Dan fame appears in it - apparently playing the part of J**n Sc*b*e (if he'd emigrated to Govan because Ch**ty Al*n* had had the curam and disapproved of his enthusiasm for Philomena Begley).

This is because "River Shitty" is designed to employ the entire thespian population of Scotland under the age of 30. And Johnnie Beattie. "An accurate portrayal of modern Scottish life," said a source quite some time ago before deciding that a Fr** Ch*rch M*n*st*r's S*n who fells oppressed by his upbringing and cannot express his true s*x**l*ty played by T*ny K**rn** would be an accurate portrayal of modern Scottish life. That's what I heard anyway. Probably.
