I'm afraid we'll have to change the wording on the website as the Guireans can no longer claim to be the world's worst band.  Anybody who saw 'Gemini', the UK's official entry to the recent Eurovision Song Contest, perform, will have quickly realised how woeful they were.  'Nil points' from every other state on the continent must say something about their ability (or, more precisely, lack of it).  At least we got a point in Lewis (get it ?). so that alone makes us better than them. 

 

So that got me thinking, are any of yoose coves in the band interested in representing your Queen and country in next year's competition ?  You could have an all expenses paid holiday to Turkey in 2004, courtesy of the BBC, and get to meet Terry Wogan.  As contoversey seems to attract lots of votes (Russian Lezzie pop duo, Tatu, were close runners up to the Turkish entry) we could rename the band 'Midnight Express' and do a cover version of 'Jailhouse Rock' !  That should go down well with the Turkish prison authorites !
