Variety, Dec 7th, 2004
Word has reached our Entertainment
Correspondant (J*e E***ot), of a new ratings
busting tv show about to be produced by
Tape/Plook Records. Hot on the heals of
BBC's Strictly Ballroom, AGOFR's very own CJ
and Ken have devised a money making show
called Strictly Avante Gaelic.
A select bunch of F list celebrites ( Co**n
Os*ia*, Sa**y M*th****, J*hn Sc**** etc) are
invited to write an AGOFR song every week in
the company of the stars of the AGOFR world
(Roddy Rev, etc). Their efforts are then
judged by CJ, Ken, Noel Eddie and Calum
Kennedy. The celebrity with the least votes
gets the heave. It is expected that top
gaelic commedian Norman MacLean will perform
the Bruce Forsyth role as compere.
Watch out for the show on TeleG (probably)
on Freeview (2.30am - 3.15am on alternate
Tuesdays in February)
