"Is K*rsty Right for D*sert Island D*scs?" ran a
hysterical D*ily M*il headline yesterday. Middle
England's notoriously staid Radio 4 listeners
have been in trepidation for months now over who
was going to replace ex-Nationwide posh blone
S*e L*wley when she ended her 18-year run on the
Sunday morning old f**ts' favourite.
The M*il exclusive adds weight to recent rumours
in Pl*st*rf*ld media circles that L*wley's stool
would indeed be taken up by the legendary late
Stornoway worthy K*rsty Al*ne.
A number of other heavyweight BBC contenders,
including Newsnight's M*rtha "Cearns" K*earney
and M*riella Fr*str*p were said to have been in
the running, but were reportedly forced to
concede victory to K*rsty during the final 4-Cr*wn
drinking contest which BBC chiefs believe is a
vital element of the selection process.
"It's no fleekeen fair!" a dismayed Fr*strup
allegedly growled afterwards "I beat thon blone
hands down in the W**dbine smoking round an they
still gave it to her. It's because I'm a Hearach,
isn't it?"
The first episode featuring the new presenter,
whoever she may be, is broadcast on Sunday at
11:15am on Radio 4. Speculation that the first
guest is D*gg*m D* has yet to be confirmed |
