FACTORY LEGEND ALIVE
AND WELL IN BRANAHUIE
Newvalley Musical Express, Sunday 26
November 2007
A sharp eyed couch buntata from Melbost
yesterday revealed the true fate of
mysterious Manchester post-punk production
legend M*rt*n H*nn*tt (J*y D*vis*ion, N*w
Ord*r etc etc), commonly believed to have
expired in the
early 1990s.
While watching a DVD of "24 Hour Party
People" recently, John Murdo
"Glaoic" Macamadan of The Ocrach, 967 Melbost, was
struck by the resemblance between Deceased
Maverick Factory Records Production Genius
H*nn*tt and one of his neighbours - who
coincidentally happens to be another
legendary music industry figure.
Legendary Music Biz Figures J*ri K*m (Right) and
M*rt*n H*nnett (played by an actor, Left)
John Murdo (93) immediately contacted the
"Express" with his suspicions. Our
investigative team nearly got round to
phoning up somebody in W**dy's to see what
was going on, but eventually couldn't be
a***ed.
"These fleekeen Factory Records people are
forever turning up here", said a music biz
insider in the Crit last night. That T*ny W*lson
recently pretended to be dead as well but
everybody knows he's chust Guireans manager
Coinneach putting on a funny accent. And
remember the time the H*ppy M*ndays came to
the island to get off the drugs, spent
£8M recording at Tong Studios, got hooked on
ceann cropaig and held the master tapes to
ransom until the label paid their tab at
Cailean Neillie's?
