I'm in a band called Elevenses and also do some solo bits and bobs. I
live in London and like experimental things, heavy things and pop music
about equally. I love to review songs, but I'll only mark you on how I
perceive the quality of your ideas and playing. I don't mind if you've
had to record onto a dictaphone, or if you went to Abbey Road, if you've
written an interesting song I'll really love it. I won't like you if
you're a watered down copy of another band, but I MIGHT like you if
you've written an amazing song in the style of another band :-) I won't
like you if you've spent a fortune recording a tune, which has one
sequence all the way through and no imagination. Then again, I love punk
and most of that only has three chords... That's where the imagination
makes the difference! And remember, if you're abusive because I didn't
happen to like your song, it's only my opinion you know. I'm quite happy
to spend ages e-mailing back reasons for what made me dislike you.
