Memphis Louie &
The Rockin' Firebird Of Death

Rock (Garage Rock)
grundge?
This sounds like The Clash made a grundge band and I am not a fan of
the irritating sound in the background.

VERY
X!!!
Cramps meets X and i love it!!!! Hook & Mood are awesome! I
really dig the feel of the song. It makes me think the live show is a
blast!!

pretty
good
talented because it takes time and talent to complete a song. But
it's not really my style. But its a catchy song i'll tell you that.

Old
School of Rock
This is a rockin' track with oodles o' charm!
The lo-tech sound adds to its humour of which there is plenty here!
I could go as far to say that the vocal style reminds me of King
Elvis Aaron Presley. I've got a slightly suspicious mind that not ALL of
the instruments are recorded live though...
This is a fun catchy song with a funky hook, reminds me a bit of the
Eagles of Death Metal. Old school.

hook?
the hook is there, but it's the same old blues line as 1000000 other
songs. the mood is alright i guess, you guys sound like old jon spencer
blues explosion but not as good, raw, or wild

Rock'N'Alternative
Billy Idol. The hook is good, and the mood matches it.
Liked the simple Rock'n'Roll feel to this song. Was easy to listen
to and was fun to listen to.
Liked the outtro, raw and rock'n'roll.

Weird...
I don't know where to begin... That song is like a mixture of 50
other songs but without any cohesion between them all!!!
It's like "Number 9" song mix with "Thunder kiss '65" and many other
song...
It's not because you repeat something a thousand time that you're
hook... I feel sorry but you'll have to return to jam session room...
You need to feel that something is emerging from a song but here you
don't know where to stand really...
Very sorry...!!!

nice
garage band sound
Reminds me of The Cramps. Wwould like to see if this band has a
similar look. Nice vocal attitude. The guitar tone could stand to be a
little less metal and more surf-rock-ish to match the song. Production
is very lo-fi but that fits this type of music.

Surf's
Around! Grrr.
A - Structure (Win/Lose) - Win - This structure has won so many
times.
B - Musicality (1-10) - 5 - Not bad, but IMO the guitars are a bit
generic, and the vocal harmonies are somewhat bland. I like the driving
drums, and the bass seemed to be tight to the drums.
C - Likability (3-10 amount of times I would bare to listen) - 3 - I
really wasn't feeling this Alt track. But will give it merit in that it
does carry the Alternative genre well.
D - Emotion (0-10 0=underdone 10=overdone 5=just right) - 5 - I was
going to give you an unfair 10, but realized that HEY this is
ALTERNATIVE Rock. This vocal performance is definitely that. so a 5 it
is. Just not my cup of tea.
E - Mix (1-10) - 3 - The mix is rough. I gave you a 3 because there
wasn't much clarity and/or coherency in the mix. Sure I could hear most
of the instruments but it was hard to make out the lyrics, and focus on
any instrumental part outside of the drums.
F - Master (1-10 or not needed/ready) - IMO not ready. needs a more
comprehensive mix first.
G - Production (Ideas if I have any) - This is a style that's
outside of my element so I'll plead the 5th on this one.
(What you wanted)
1 - Hook - I think the what sounds like "washing machine" Hook is a
bit hokey, but that may just be me.
2 - Mood - you have a surfs up kinda mood happening by my ears.
3 - Who Do We Sound Like - You know I've been puzzleing over that
sinse I started the review, and I gotta say F*^* if I know really, but
isn't that a good thing?
Hope I've been helpful. That is my goal.

ummm....
sounded like a bad video game sountrack with a man yelling. i would
hope o think this is a one man band and the drums were a machine, very
hard to get into a song like this, couldnt hear any lyrics and guitar
sounded like a midi track. i must admit though very original i dont know
who you sound like

RETRO
ROCK A BILLY PUNK FEEL
THE PRODUCTION FOR THE TYPE OF SONG SEEMS TO BE ON IT. THE
PROFORMANE FOR THE TYPE OF SONG SEEMS TO FOLLOW SUITE AS WELL.

I
wanna be Sedated!
LONG LIVE PUNK! Great Ramones sound baby. Loved the scream behind
vocals. Liked the 1950's style vocal sound, THat guitar rocks man well
mixed song here. MAn this is like nothing you hear no more. Great
stuff. Made me want to go out and buy one of those lava lamps.

What
is this?
Okay, this sounds like classic rock from the fifties, but this
recording is terrible, the vocals sound really distant, everything
sounds quite distant , really. The backing vocals seem out of tune and
what's with the burp? or was that mooing...
- loredo_cronk from

This
was just god awful
I'm going to start off by saying this: it was absolutely dreadful.
For starters, the lyrics and vocals are extremely annoying. I can't get
his grating voice out of my head. The song had no hook; they just
repeated the same riff over and over and over again. The mood reminded
me of a bad '80s movie soundtrack. I would love to give you some
positives, but there really are none. I'm giving this piece of junk a 1
out of 5.

Surf
musicians: do the twist!
The headline actually says it all. This is a strange combo of some of
the never surf influences and "dancemusic" from the early 60's. At
least that's how i interpretate this music. All in a pretty noisy lo-fi
production. Interesting thing but that's pretty much it.

Is
this an attempt at a cover?
The mood is okay. It has a fun sound to it. I feel that the vocals
are a little over processed and you are ripping off the B-52's a little
bit.
I think you could use some more hook.
What is with the "Rock Lobster"?
Are you trying to cover?
