New album 'almost ready' shock horror exclusive!!!!
Rumours were blocking up the whole intercreel yesterday as reports started filtering out from Grimersta Studios that the new DR's album was almost ready. Wattie and Jason are said to have completed all the vocals except for a few wee backing vocals and the mastering process is whispered to have begun. Despite repeated power surges, the gallant minstrels completed the album with only a chicken tikka hoagie from Engies to sustain them (plus 6 cups of tea.) Other trials and tribulation included neither of the coves wanting (or been able to sing more like) the song about valleys and water and ending up having to splice the two lead vocals together which miraculously produced some hitherto unbeknownst harmonies. Songs completed are (all provisional song titles)
Rampant Thrust
Thurso Pie
Glen valtos By train
thevalley one
Deadollac, Roddy and Roddy
beyond a joke
Girraffic Park
Stevie Wonder funky clav song
Accoustic ditty thing with no vocals
and theres a few other I've forgotten about.

The Tape Records Corporation urges you all to rush headlong to the Guireans site and order a copy of the Guireans fine new CD, Alastair MacKay Is God (Sorry Bod). Dunky is taking orders now!!!!!!!!!
It's a fine album and features many of your favourite Dun Ringles. (Well, Jason and Wattie)
6 November 2002
Representatives of both Tape Records and Plook Records are in a tense bidding war over who gets to release the new concept e.p. from Sheep Purple, the new AGOFR 'superlager' group. After a succesful recording seshion at Knock Studios the band were happy to report the completion of a three track e.p. based around a concept certain to rival Genesis's 'The Lamb Lies Down in Charlie Barleys yard' or even Marillions 'Misplaced Talent'.
Inside gossip reveals the tracks to be Black Flight, Smoke on the Runway and 'Cheap Flight In Time'.
The band used an array of instruments to create this fine meisterwerks and had to contend with a number fo technical difficulties including finding out that none of the tape recorders in Watties house had a microphone; not been able to find thon wee adapter that fits over the end of a proper microphone lead to allow it to be plugged into the back of the soundcard and two small kids running around shouting, screaming, de-tuning guitars and generally getting in the way.
Still, the band persevered and the E.p. should be ready for human consumption shortly.
November 4 2002
Unconfirmed reports are flooding in that an earth shattering combined effort by various secretive Guireans (Deadollac) and Dun Ringles (Wattie and Jason) who wish to remain anonimouse is about to take place in Knock Studios. An insider stated that a 'concept' ep of at least one song will shortly be recorded. Rumours abound that the new 'supergroup' are to be called Sheep Purple and intend to record an ep of Deep Purple songs to make a concept about Sunday flights. So far 'Black Flight' has been written and reports state that 'Church In Time' and 'Sundaypaperbringer' are also almost ready. A spokesman for the FP's said the band 'deserved a good kicking' and 'once the location of Knock Studios is uncovered they'd better watch out!'
'Black Flight, Black Flight,
Sunday flyings, not right......'

Un-Ringled!
The world of AGOFR was rocked to its foundations (well, it's damp proof course at least) at news that three of the Dun Ringles had performed an akoustic cham down in darkest Cnoc. Playing a selection of their least crap choons, the three DR's, namely Jason on acoustic geetar, Robin on Mandolin and Wattie on accoustic bass (electric bass turned down really low) and rythym mandolin, stunned the assembled fans (Dougie aged 6, Jamie aged 3) with renditions of Cromwell St Congegration, I dont like Sheep, Bee without a Bumble, Un-hilted, and Hermits Homely hut, plus attempts at nearly every other song which ended when they realised they couldn't remember them. (prawn? The grey tower looms from the mist? etc) The band also performed the usual covers such as Don't Fear The Reaper , Weather With You, Valtos Blues, plus most of Jethro Tulls back catalogue. The band declined to play Smoke on the Water.
Plans are affot for another acoustica at Xmas time, with perhaps a recording been made?
Quick!! Rush along to the Guireans web site and order a copy of their fab new CD Alastair MacKay is God (Sorry Bod)
which is available now. Because why? Well, because Jason and Wattie feature on it, thats why!!!! Hurry now or Dunky wont have any spare copies left

AGOFR
Get
Together
in
Clydebank!!!!!!!!
Not
since
the
Guireans/Dun
Ringles
drinking
competition
last new
year in
the
Crown
have so
many
AGOFR
'stars'
been
seen in
the one
place.
Oh yus,
at the
recent
celebrity
wedding
of
Grassy,
well
known
front
man of
many
AGOFR
bands
and
latterly
managerof
the Dun
Ringles,
fans
were
astounded
to see
several
AGOFR
bands
reunited
(although
thankfully
not
performing)
Firstly,
the
great
Rab
Kuartski
appeared
and
spent
the
evening
reminising
of his
sterling
performance
at the
MOR 83.
And with
the
presence
of
Jason,
Robin
and
Grassy
this
meant it
was the
first
time
Andromeda
Crisis
had been
seen
together
since
the mid
80's.
Lovable
balding
tops the
Dun
Ringles
were
also
seen
together
as well
as the
Jam
Sciences,
most of
Heironomous
Bosch
and
loads
more. To
end it
all, the
stars
all got
up to do
a
rousing
renditon
of Calum
B Sound.
However,
Streetcar,
the
wedding
band,
didn't
know it
and
plaed
Johnny B
Goode
instead.
Never
the
less,
the line
up of
this
stunning
performance
was
Robin on
keyboards,
Jon on
guitar,
Jason on
guitar,
Streetcar
on
backing
duties
and
Grassy,
Rab and
Wattie
on
'drunken
wedding
guest
dancing'
ZING POP
Update
10 songs
remastered
and 2
songs

Expect
the

in
September.
