Desolation Angels (October/November 82)

  • William “Wilbur” Macleod (Vocals)
  • Alasdair “Bod” Mackay (Guitar)
  • Iain “Dead” Livingstone (Bass)
  • Kristina Macleod (Piano)
  • Kirsty Mackay (Flute)

Extremely short-lived outfit who, at Wilbur's instigation, attempted a couple of jams in the Music dept at the Nicolson. The girls were classically trained and competent, the guys were musically illiterate and inept. It was either going to be ground-breaking and original or a dead end. Guess which way it ended up?

Was this the group that the bearded Northumbrian pipes enthusiast Mr Leadbitter tasked with learning and playing a "Rock" song, ie Ralph McTell's "Streets of London"? I seem to remember something like that going on at the time...

No gigs. No tapes. No surprise.
