1984? – The Subterraneans (lineup 2) support ??? at The Royal Hotel

 Etheridge's bass drum cover 83/84

Lineup:

  • Emil The Shrink (Voc, Harmonica)
  • Bob Bitchin’ (Lead Guitar)
  • Zink Sputnik (Rhythm Guitar)
  • Leroi Z Coondawg (Bass)
  • Etheridge Lockjaw Jones Ist (Drums)

Can’t remember a lot about this gig at all, except that it seemed to go quite well.

Not sure if it was during the 83/84 Xmas holidays or the Summer of 84. Seems more likely to be later given the inclusion of “Out of the Question” in the set. Don’t believe it was taped.

I suspect this is the gig that Kenny "Fraochie" Stewart remembers, in his recall-ections, where Bob Bitchin's fingers were flyin' over the fretboard playing a mighty impressive looking but inaudible geetar solo.

I’m guessing the set based on a list I found, written in Emil’s handwriting, with the appropriate harp keys listed against the songs.

Songs (probably)

  1. Hi Heel Sneekers  (A)
  2. Louie Louie (A)
  3. Blues With A Feelin (D)
  4. Wherewolf (D)
  5. Strychnine (A)
  6. I Was Murdered by the CIA (D)
  7. Out of The Question (A)
  8. Who Do You Love (A)
