Zink Sputnik aka Carl Ramone aka Robbie Dawson

Jazz Funk fan Zink practices his Shakatak licks at the Garage Fuzz sessions, 1983

Played : Drums Feb 1983 - Feb 1983, Rhythm Git-tar 1983 - 1985.

Last Seen in 1985, heading off in a disco direction to practice his Level 42 thumb technique, funkmeister Zink Sputnik ended up based in Fife and travelling the world as an international ambassador for a well known brand of high-performance outdoor wear. A bit like Madonna used to do for Versace, probably, except with anoraks.

Along the way Zink has maintained his collection of git-tars and gear and played a fair bit, although he doesn't admit to having any bands on the go at the moment. Most recently he's alleged to have contributed hi-pitched Meantime-style bass on the Guireans' overdue Xmas 2018 P*te Sh*lley/Ar*tha Fr*nkl*n Tribute EP.
