Randy T
Pennsylvania aka
David Maclennan
Randy
T Pennsylvania
in nice
geansaidh,
playing with the
Mean Time at the
Royal, 1985
Played : Lead
Git-tar,
February 1983
As alter ego
David Maclennan,
Randy played
with the
original
electric, rock
version of
The Meantime
for most of the
80s then left it
to the 2 Roddies
- Huggan and
Morrison while
he went off to
Aberdeen and
various other
mainland
destinations to
study.
Randy threw away
the electric
guitar while on
the mainland and
started playing
folkie/ceilidh
stuff with the
Wild West
Ceilidh Band,
later to
become the
highly
successful
traditional
outfit known
as...errr....Meantime.
But this version
of the Meantime
bear little
relation to the
original. You
won't find SLF,
the Buzzcocks or
the Stranglers
in their set.
Randy now lives
back in Gress,
teaches music,
plays and sings
with the
Meantime, writes
new material in
Gaelic and
sculpts stuff
out of bits of
metal.
