Memphis Louie an' The Rockin’ Firebirds of Death – Rehearsal Tapes (Summer 1985)

All the tracks on this tape were probably recorded by the final Firebirds line-up, practising for the 5/9/85 gig at the Royal.

The stuff was recorded over a number of sessions down at Tong Studios, which the band were using as a rehearsal room. Recording was again done using Leroi's trusty Ferguson ghetto blaster, but because the band were able to crank the volume up, the sound is pretty good.

There's a small possibility that some of the stuff was recorded before the Folk Club debacle earlier in the Summer of 85, in which case it would be Lineup 1, with Zink Sputnik on rhythm instead of Levi Mac 'an Sheonaidh Rickenbacker, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
