Vom Your Sproggans (Tape Records 1992) Recorded in December 1992 in the newly opened Knock Studios (upstairs in Watties spare room) using the newly acquired MR300 4 track portastudio. Using many half written songs from the long lost Funky Peatstack concept album as a starting point, the album soon took a life of its own. Recalling past scouting events, local characters and places, the band quickly rattled off 11 songs of varying quality (varying between crap and abysmal.) After much painful research, the band were also able to recreate the distinctive white noise hiss between all the tracks that has come to distinguish AGOFR songs the world over. A limited edition of 20 tapes were produced and released to the largely indifferent public (but thankfully gullible scouts) which soon resulted in the bands first Double Ollack tape. The cover featured the bands distinctive logo and a strange piece of artwork by Jason which he has constantly failed to explain. This might be due to the fact that he had weeks to do a bloody drawing but as usual left it to the last minute and made up any old crap to keep the record company happy. Gunhilted The bands first heavy metal tune, which has been played at every gig ever performed by the band. Inspired by a made-up word during a game of scrabble. Shared lead vocals by Jason and Wattie Peatman Originally written for the great lost Funky Peatstack album and demo’d in the Venture Room in 1991 with Simon the Ghillie on vocals. The song was rearranged for Vom and has become another live favourite always featuring a guest appearance from Peatman himself.Take It Easy Written and sung by Jason its apparently a love song of sorts. Herd of Sheep A moving tale of hardship and the humble crofter. As if they didn’t get enough grants. Glen Valtos by Night (Its Alright, Its Alright) The band get funky and nearly contemporary by writing a rap/rock song featuring a Duran Duran homage. The true tale of a camp at Valtos Outdoor Centre. Mealisval The oldest song in the Dun Ringles canon. Originally written by Andromeda Crisis in 1984. A tribute to the highest hill on Lewis and the bane of every young scouts life. And the Porpoise A jazz odyssey instrumental (The) Prawn (In Grassy’s Eye) based on a true story of Grassy finding nothing but dodgy prawns in his fridge and having to eat them although the prawns didn’t want him too. Hey Ho Anybody Home A tribute to that age old scout camp fire favourite and a walk on the hills A Tale of Two Tractors Trouble on the farm. Get orf moi lahnd.Funky Peatstack The only song by the band that people seem to like. Again taken from the lost Funky Peatstack album
